1. Spend some time out in the fresh air

There are so many health benefits that being outside in our beautiful environment can have on your body and mind! Not only can it help to give you more energy and keep you focused, it also helps to keep you seeing the beauty in everyday which naturally improves your peacefulness and happiness.

2. Physical activity and exercise
n
n
Not only does exercise help to keep your body healthy and fit, which can automatically make you feel good, it also releases “happy chemicals” called endorphins while you’re doing physical activity which help to relieve stress, helps you sleep and boosts your overall mood! Why not try doing something different? Such as playing a big game of Rounders, or going for a family bike ride!

3. Practice yoga and mindfulness

Yoga and mindfulness practices help to encourage self-love, self-care and empowerment! It’s more important now than ever before to instill self-confidence and comfort while the children are easing back into some sort of normality.

4. Eat healthy, and plenty of fresh veg and meals
n
n
Seasonal food is the key to eating healthy with locally sourced organic (where possible) food that incorporates fresh, plant-based produce, meat and fish! In particular fish, berries, chocolate, and colourful veg are great sources of essential vitamins and minerals, all while their goodness help to improve your mood overall!

5. Spend time with amazing friends (social distancing, of course)

Healthy and happy friendships always help to uplift and encourage expressions of love and kindness, and are lots of fun too! At our day nursery, we make sure we encourage all the children to look out for each other, creating a healthy environment that is filled with respectful loving relationships that breed trust, warmth and acceptance.

6. Learn something new
n
n
Learning something new can be a really fun adventure and activity, and help to break the routine of every day, keeping your days interesting and mind engaged! Why not try an arts and crafts skill, such as origami? Or why not learn a new baking or cooking skill in preparation for all those healthy meals and snacks you’re going to make? The possibilities are endless.
